Obituaries » William Todd Anderson
William Todd Anderson of Bluemont, VA, born October 20th, 1968, passed away on March 27th, 2017. Todd grew up on a beef cattle farm in Bluemont, VA that had been in the same family since 1898.
Todd worked the farm with his extended family and really enjoyed the outdoors. Todd was an expert hunter, highly skilled with gun and bow, but his passion was bow hunting. Todd loved getting up early and heading into the woods. He lived in a house nestled in the woods on the top of Blue Ridge Mountain in an idyllic outdoor setting where you see all forms of wildlife on a daily basis.
Todd was a highly skilled master electrician. He was often called in to jobs when there was a particularly difficult issue to resolve. Todd had a great ability to analyze problems and identify issues. Todd also did electrical work for people in the local community. The most common comment about Todd’s work was that he did a fantastic job, but he didn’t charge enough. One of his customers absolutely insisted Todd take more money for his work, Todd refused and told her “you get the Bluemont family discount.” Todd gave everyone the Bluemont Family discount even if they weren’t family and didn’t live in Bluemont. It was important to Todd that people got great value for the money, and he took immense pride in his work.
Todd would tell you, with no hesitation, that the greatest joy in his life is his daughter Kamryn. He was extremely proud of Kamryn’s every accomplishment and he loved spending time with her. In addition to his daughter Kamryn, Todd leaves behind his mother and father, William & Judy Anderson of Bluemont, VA, sister, Valerie Reid and her husband Dale Reid of White Post, VA, brother Eric Anderson and his wife Linda Anderson of Peachtree Corners, GA. Todd is also survived by his nephews, Ryan and Derek Reid and nieces Courtney Reid and Sydney Anderson.
Visitation will take place at 10AM on Saturday, April 8 with funeral services immediately following at 11AM with interment at Ketoctin Cemetary in Purcellville, Virginia.
